As part of its responsibility to support the business sector, Asharqia Chamber, represented by the Young Businessmen Council, signed 6 agreements that aimed at providing facilities and overcoming the challenges that young businesswomen in the region may face when starting their projects through supporting partners.

The signing ceremony was held on Sunday December 2nd at the headquarter of the Chamber.

The initiative "Hand by hand" was launched by the Council to provide free or cost-effective services to business leaders.

The secretary-general of the Chamber, Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al-Wabel, said that from the roles assigned to Saudi women under the vision of the Kingdom of 2030, which aims at enhancing the role of their participation in the labor market by raising the proportion of its presence in the labor market to 30 percent, the Chamber signed 6 agreements with a number of partners who will provide a variety of services to female business entrepreneurs that wish to start their own projects.

AlWabel said that the initiative targets the female business entrepreneurs in the Chamber whose business history does not exceed three years.

He pointed out that the agreements will be a support for new projects in the market, which suffer from stumbling during the first years.

Partners will provide various services and the most important of which are the provision of low-cost office space, consultancy, legal and marketing services, accounting and technical services.

Furthermore, the board member, Alanoud Al-Ramah, attended the signing of contracts this important step.

She noted the complementary role of the Chamber with business institutions in providing initiatives that aimed at providing assistance and support to emerging projects.

She praised the efforts exerted by the Young Businessmen Council in this regard.

She also valued the innovative step of the success partners of this initiative from the institutions of expertise and consulting houses in supporting this trend as one of the social responsibilities that characterizes the business sector in the Eastern Region.

The President of Asharqia Young Businesswomen Council, Najla Alabdulqader, described the signing agreements as a big leap in the promotion of the culture of entrepreneurship.

She noted that the initiative comes after examining a number of data that reflected the status of the emerging women's initiatives and challenges, where studies indicate that 50 percent of new projects fail during the first year of the project to reach 95 percent within five years.

Al-Abdalqader explained that available reports indicate that Saudi women own or manage more than 18 percent of small enterprises.

Therefore, this initiative will be part of efforts to increase the participation of women to 35 percent by 2030.

She said that the applications will be received through a web page within Asharqia Chamber's website.
